Tony Cater
Band leader, lead and backing vocals, lead and rhythm guitar, keyboards.
Tony has been playing in bands since the early 1960s and enjoys it now just as much as he did then. With The Zodiacs in the early years, Tony toured Germany, playing at the hallowed Top Ten and Star Clubs of Hamburg. Never out of regular music Tony’s previous band before forming The Peppermint Men was the popular four-piece ‘The Sabres’. Tony is best-known as a talented vocalist and guitarist, but the recent addition of keyboards gives us a new dimension and greater choice in the material we play.

Tony Powles
Lead and backing vocals, lead and rhythm guitar.
Tony, better known as ‘Tiny’ is another well-known Norfolk musician who has been on the scene since the sixties. From his early days with The Highwaymen, through his years with East Coast Rock and the long-running top functions band Regency, Tiny has played various roles including lead vocalist, front man and rhythm guitarist. He is also an extremely solid drummer. Tiny spent three years with Tony in The Sabres before the formation of The Peppermint Men. Along with Marty, Tiny is an incessant comedian, they make a great double act. Tiny is a gadget freak and a great admirer of the Fender Stratocaster of which he has an impressive collection.

Martin Baldry
Drums and assorted toys, backing vocals.
Another comedian and the youngest member of the band, Marty is the engine behind The Peppermint Men and provides the top-line harmonies. Ever a practical joker his most recent stunt was to superglue Tiny’s drink to the floor. Marty is another multi-instrument musician, a fine bass-player and home guitarist he also collects guitars. Marty began his music career with his brother Mike, himself a great drummer, and has played many types of music though the years. Before becoming a Peppermint Man, Marty was drummer with popular local rock band ‘Stonerunner’ (formerly Last Resort).

Ken Grover
Bass guitar, lead vocals, backing vocals.
Ken is the newest member of the band, and has a long musical history. He has been playing in bands since the early ‘60s. He has played in bands on and off all his life and was a successful solo artist for some years. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and has taken up the bass guitar to play with the band. He now enjoys it so much he has put together a collection of new and vintage basses including a ‘66 Burns Baldwin Vibraslim which compliments the authentic sound a visual appearance of the Peppermint Men.
Ken was initiated into the band by the boys when he returned to stage to play the second set... they had tied up his sleeves with baling twine.
